Personal Navigation Assistant (PNA) devices running Microsoft Windows CE Version 5.0, Microsoft Windows CE Version 4.0, Microsoft Windows CE Version 3.0 or later (PocketPC like Hardware), MIPS and ARM processors.

GPS data source

NMEA data source with $GPRMC and $GPGGA strings. Suitable devices include handheld serial GPS devices, glider flight loggers, bluetooth GPS devices, GPS-integrated variometers, and FLARM devices. Some PDAs have integrated GPS receivers.

One of the powerful advantages of XCSoar being open source is the ability to support a large amount of hardware. This section describes the use of XCSoar on particular Pocket PC devices and its integration with external devices and instruments. Due to the large number of devices available, it is not practical to include a discussion relating to every available device.

And here we have some examples of the combinations which seem to work well.
